Daniel Fernandez

Daniel received his formal Classical music training at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto where he graduated with his Grade 9 Piano Performance.  Daniel is also a graduate from Humber College, where he studied Jazz theory, performance and orchestration under Brian Harris, Pat LaBarbara, Paul Read, Ron Collier, Don Vickery, Don Johnson and Dave Stillwell.

 

As a student Daniel had the opportunity to attend workshops with Oscar Peterson, Rob McConnel, Phil Nimmons, Howard Cable, Don Thompson, Ed Bickert, Don Francks, Red Rodney, and others.

 

Daniel began his career in the music industry as a performing musician playing keyboards in bands as well as solo piano gigs throughout the Toronto music scene in the 80's.

 

Daniel then spent over two decades in the Film and TV post production industry working in various capacities as a composer, arranger, music editor, sound effects editor and dialogue editor.
